(“us”, “we”, “our”, “Make a Difference for Social Tourism, Inc”, or “MAD Travel”). The term “you” refers to the customer visiting the Website and/or booking a reservation through us on this Website, or through our customer service agents.

For International Bookings

BOOKING CONFIRMATION AND DOWN PAYMENTS

Bookings made 60 days or more prior to the tour and/or event start date require a downpayment of 50% to confirm the booking. The remaining 50% must be paid at the latest 30 days before the start of your tour. We require 100% payment for bookings made 45 days or less prior to the commencement of a tour and/or event to confirm your booking.

MAD Travel cannot guarantee to hold the booking price if payments are not made on time.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Every cancellation of a booking by the client must be communicated via email to info@madtravel.org. Cancellation amounts are expressed as a percentage of the total price paid. Please note, that bookings made in advance for third party suppliers in the Philippines are mostly non refundable right after booking. We always start booking all services such as transportation and accommodation for our clients right after we received the confirmation of the down payment to assure that all Hotels and transports are still vacant and available. Please note, that this reflects in our cancellation policy.

In the event of a tour or event cancellation by the client the following amount will be refunded to the client based on the date that the cancellation email was received:

Upon booking, 15% of your payment is non refundable.

• Cancellation received more than 90 days prior to the start of the event and/or tour will be refunded 70% of the remaining balance that has not been spent on transfer fees (transportation), accommodations and activities.

• Cancellation received 45 to 29 days prior to the start of the event and/or tour will be refunded 50% of the remaining balance that has not been spent on transfer fees (transportation), accommodations and activities.

• Cancellation received 29 to 7 days prior to the start of the event and/or tour will be refunded 20% of the remaining balance that has not been spent on transfer fees (transportation), accommodations and activities.

• Cancellation received less than 7 days prior to the start of the tour and/or event will be refunded 0% of the total amount paid.

Any amount deposited with MAD Travel shall not earn any interest whatsoever.

TOUR OPERATOR CANCELLATIONS

Cancellation due to weather, natural disasters and other political or safety-related scenarios are at the sole discretion of MAD Travel. Where a tour/event is cancelled by MAD Travel prior to the commencement date of the tour and/or event, and the cancellation is deemed not caused by your fault or negligence, you will have the choice of rescheduling your tour to a later date or accepting a substitute tour/event of equivalent or superior value to be approved by MAD Travel. If you’re unable to attend the rescheduled tour/event you have the option of offering your booking to someone else. This offer is subject to the approval of MAD Travel, must be confirmed via e-mail and provision of a valid government ID of the person taking the booking must be sent prior to confirmation and/or approval.

MAD Travel is not responsible for any incidental expenses or consequential losses that you incur as a result of the cancelled booking including visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or rail, non refundable car parking or other fees, loss of earnings, or loss of enjoyment. MAD Travel reserves the right to issue a full refund in lieu of the choices above, in its sole discretion. Where a significant element of a tour and/or event cannot be provided after departure, the MAD Travel will endeavour to make suitable alternative arrangements. Where a suitable alternative offer, product or services is not available, MAD Travel reserves the right to provide you with an appropriate refund for unused products or services as determined in its sole discretion.

ITINERARY ALTERATIONS AND UNUSED SERVICES

The itinerary, accommodations, amenities and modes of transportation are subject to changes without notice due to unforeseeable circumstances. Changes to the itinerary, products and services will be communicated to you as soon as reasonably possible. By accepting these terms and conditions you acknowledge that the nature of MAD Travel’s services and offerings are flexible and therefore permit reasonable alterations to the products and services offered by MAD Travel.

MAD Travel will offer no discounts or refunds for products or services that are unused after departure that are to no fault of MAD Travel. This includes, but it not limited to, your removal from a tour because of your negligence or breach of these terms and conditions, any applicable travel orders, ban or advisories, or as may be provided under applicable law.

ACCEPTANCE OF RISK

All of the community destinations MAD partners with have been vetted and audited for safety risks. Not only has a risk assessment been made, but guests have been safely visiting these communities over an extended period of months and years.

Nonetheless, you acknowledge that the products and services offered by MAD Travel and associated partners may involve an element of risk to your health and safety which cannot be entirely controlled by MAD Travel. It is your responsibility to consider any potential risks to health and safety.

Meanwhile, MAD Travel shall conduct safety briefings before every tour which involves a certain risk for your health and safety. All guests are required to attend the briefing and make sure they understand all guidelines. By accepting the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement you assume full responsibility for all such risk if you do not follow our safety instructions. You hereby assume full responsibility for all such risks, outside of our safety guidelines and instructions, and in doing so release MAD Travel, its stockholders, officers, employees, agents and representatives, and hold them free and harmless from all claims and causes of action arising from any losses, damages, injuries or death resulting from risks inherent in travel and the products and services offered by MAD Travel. Moreover, you agree to indemnify MAD Travel, its stockholders, officers, employees, agents and representatives from any loss, damages, suit and actions that may be filed or claimed for reasons attributable to your actions, inaction, fault, negligence or breach of this agreement.

It is your responsibility to strictly comply with all applicable laws and regulations whilst participating in any MAD Travel event, tour, product or service, including the advisories, notices and warnings of MAD Travel’s employees and representatives.. Should you fail to comply with the above or commit any illegal act when participating in any MAD Travel event, tour, product or service, MAD Travel will assume no liability and holds the right to terminate your travel arrangements and the continued delivery of any further product or service at your own expense. You will not be entitled to any refund for unused or missed products or services and will accept full responsibility for any additional costs incurred by MAD Travel. In addition, should your behaviour, in the opinion of the MAD Travel tour operator, be causing or is likely to cause danger, distress or material annoyance to yourself and/or others, the tour operator may terminate your travel arrangements on any product or service immediately at your expense and without any liability on MAD Travel’s part.

You are responsible for any costs (including repair, replacement and cleaning fees) incurred by MAD Travel and associated partners / suppliers because of property damage, destruction or theft caused by you whilst participating in a tour, event, product or service offered by MAD Travel. You agree to immediately report any pre-existing damage to accommodation, transport services and/or facilities to a MAD Travel representative as soon as reasonably possible.

LIABILITY

MAD Travel claims no responsibility and/or liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness, or schedule change due to weather, strike, natural disaster, or any other cause beyond MAD Travel’s control and those which are caused by reason attributable to you.

MAD Travel acts in good faith, and is not responsible for any agent, hotel, coach operator, airline, guide, restaurant or any other person’s or company’s acts, defaults, or delays.

MAD Travel reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries, or departure times to ensure safety. In the case of any changes to flights (domestic and international) or to scheduled travel by ferry or bus, the passenger is responsible for additional costs incurred because of such changes (e.g., additional nights at a hotel, meals, transfers, etc.). Customers are therefore recommended to have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies when participating in a MAD Travel product and/or service.

MANDATORY HEALTH AND TRAVEL INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

All guests must have their own travel insurance with a minimum medical, evacuation and repatriation coverage of US$200,000 that covers the all applicable tour and event travel dates with MAD Travel. This insurance must cover personal injury and emergency medical expenses. When accepting these terms and conditions you acknowledge that insurance coverage is not included in the cost of any tour or event offered by MAD Travel and must be obtained by a reputable insurance provider at an additional cost incurred by you. We strongly recommend adding additional coverage for items such as cancellation costs, curtailments, and other expenses that may occur as the result of loss, damage, injury, delay or inconvenience while traveling.

It is your responsibility to advise and provide accurate information to your insurer regarding the type of travel, activities and destination(s) you will be participating in so that the insurer may provide appropriate coverage.

We recommend checking if your existing general health insurance policy already includes a provision for holiday insurance within your monthly or yearly coverage plan prior to departure. If in doubt, seek advice from a reputable insurance provider before departing on your trip.

Please note, in the case our monthly or yearly coverage plan prior to departure emergen, that MAD Travel will assist all our guests as best we can, through recommendations and information about the best and most accessible medical treatment option available in the current location of emergency. However, please be informed that MAD Travel is not liable for any costs you may incur during your stay which result from medical and emergency treatment. EXCHANGE RATE AND CHANGES OF PRICES

All prices are stated in Philippine Peso only. All transfer charges and/or fees will be covered by the client.

Exchange rate calculations are based on the date of issuing an invoice. Invoices must be paid by the client on or before the specified due date in order for the outlined exchange rates to be applicable. Exchange rates will be recalculated on invoices that are not paid by the assigned due date and may incur a fee.

All rates quoted or shown are based on current prices and are subject to change on our website without prior notice. After the final invoice has been issued, the price of a booking is guaranteed against surcharges unless due to currency fluctuation, government taxes or any other cost increase beyond MAD Travel’s control.

THIRD PARTY PROVIDER

Make A Difference For Social Tourism Inc., acts only as agent for the client in acquiring transportation, hotel accommodations, sightseeing, and other privileges, or services for the clients’ benefit, and on the express condition that Make A Difference For Social Tourism Inc. shall not be responsible for any loss, accident, injury, delay, defect, omission or irregularity which may occur or be occasioned, whether by reason of any act, negligence or default of any company or person engaged in or responsible for carrying out any of the arrangements, or otherwise in connection therewith.

Mad Travel does not guarantee the performance of the transportation, hotel accommodation, sightseeing and other tours unless otherwise provided herein. Mad Travel shall in good faith assist the client in dealing with the said service providers.

Invoices must be paid by the client on or before the specified due date in order for the outlined exchange rates to be applicable. Exchange rates will be recalculated on invoices that are not paid by the assigned due date and may incur a fee.

All rates quoted or shown are based on current prices and are subject to change on our website without prior notice. After the final invoice has been issued, the price of a booking is guaranteed against surcharges unless due to currency fluctuation, government taxes or any other cost increase beyond MAD Travel’s control.

THIRD PARTY PROVIDER

Make A Difference For Social Tourism Inc., acts only as agent for the client in acquiring transportation, hotel accommodations, sightseeing, and other privileges, or services for the clients’ benefit, and on the express condition that Make A Difference For Social Tourism Inc. shall not be responsible for any loss, accident, injury, delay, defect, omission or irregularity which may occur or be occasioned, whether by reason of any act, negligence or default of any company or person engaged in or responsible for carrying out any of the arrangements, or otherwise in connection therewith.

Mad Travel does not guarantee the performance of the transportation, hotel accommodation, sightseeing and other tours unless otherwise provided herein. Mad Travel shall in good faith assist the client in dealing with the said service providers.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Credit Line (post paid)

On special occasions, a credit line can be granted to repeat customers. However, the following documents must be submitted to MAD Travel prior to the due date before the credit line can be approved:

• Financial statement(s)

• Article of incorporation

• Contact details of General Manager/CEO/President

• Delayed Payments.
